After moving to Sydney, I worked for a stretch with U1 Group, a UX consultancy based in Surry Hills. The agency offers insight and strategy services to clients creating digital experiences.
As part of their team, I had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of other UX professionals, each with their own skills and specialties. The clients were diverse, and each new project was an adventure and an opportunity to learn something new. As each brief came in, I determined everything I could about the client's needs, scope, and schedule. Are they looking to evaluate a prototype? Create a strategy for serving content? Branch into a new market? I worked with the team to design an approach that will collect the details they needed to succeed. Together, we delved into their target demographics, to understand the full story of the users' attraction to their product— how they found it, when they interacted with it, what it could do for them, and what it did not. Depending on the project, this might involve exploratory interviews, large-scale surveys, or a custom validation process. From these experiences, I assembled a comprehensive reports, painting a clear picture of who their users are, how they perceive the product, and how the project can be aligned with their unique needs. Recommendations aimed to be actionable, illuminating, and tailored to the client's business strategy. |
